Aggregation kettle agitator- Purpose of mixing
Stirring is a liquid based stirring operation, which often divides the stirred material into four phases: liquid-liquid, gas-liquid, solid-liquid, and gas-liquid solid.
● Promote mixing: liquid mixing, solid-liquid suspension, gas-liquid dispersion, liquid-liquid dispersion, liquid-liquid emulsification;
● Promote three transfers and one reaction (heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical reaction): extraction, heating, cooling, absorption, dissolution, crystallization, and polymerization;
Mainly manifested as
Mix immiscible liquids evenly, prepare homogeneous mixtures and emulsions, and enhance mass transfer processes;
Make the gas fully dispersed in the liquid, enhance mass transfer or chemical reactions;
● Prepare a uniform suspension to accelerate solid dissolution, leaching, or liquid-solid chemical reactions
Strengthen heat transfer to prevent local overheating or overcooling.

● Vertical kettle
Atmospheric pressure: Flat bottomed kettle (prone to stress concentration, therefore not suitable for pressure kettles) The material is non polluting to the environment and insensitive to dust: Open mouth
Slurry: conical head (easy discharge)
Horizontal kettle (usually operated in half kettle)
Commonly used in gas-liquid mass transfer processes (with large gas-liquid contact area): gas-liquid absorption, polymer (high viscosity system) devolatilization. Commonly used in powder mixing horizontal equipment, there are single axis and dual axis self-cleaning effects. When stirring high viscosity liquids, if there is a certain gap between the impeller end and the groove wall, the high viscosity liquid will stagnate in the gap - scraping wall stirring equipment
The aspect ratio HD of the cylinder is determined by the liquid filling aspect ratio H1/D and the loading coefficient
The height to diameter ratio of the liquid filling has an impact on the stirring power, heat transfer, and material stirring reaction characteristics, all of which affect the material properties
